We go through dormant moments around here and we apologize about that!

hocbelieve:

We’d like to firstly welcome all of our new supporters, including the band 3-D Arcade:

Thanks for the love and ROCK ON, guys.

Our buds in Switchfoot won a Grammy for Hello Hurricane, RunnerRunner released their new CD, and Angels and Airwaves totally blew up the Santa Barbara Film Festival with LOVE. These guys know how to share the love and they’ve always got our backs. It’s great to see them achieving their goals too and there is nothing better than knowing it’s because they believed in something.

Like us. ;)

We still have our Angels and Airwaves and Runner Runner collab shirts available in our store (as well as our rubber bracelets too!), please hit up our website and get one or two or a dozen if you haven’t yet; those shirts go to the respective charities of Open Your Heart and the Childrens’ Hospital of Orange County. We just recently got a Thank-You letter from OYH, be sure to stop on over and check it out to learn more about this awesome cause and how our shirts have helped out.

Voting for the 2011 Animal Rescue Site Challenge is STILL underway, and if you know our sweet bro ATOM Willard, you know he’s a huge champion of the French Bulldog Rescue Network out of Massachusetts. They’re ranking number 5 right now out of the state for this challenge, down from #3 from last week but with your daily vote we can easily kick them back up to the top. When asked for the shelter name, pop in “French Bulldog Rescue Network” and select MA under state. There’s no sign-up needed and you can cast one vote per day. Please help out!

We’ve moved our Facebook page, also! We’re now under Believe In Something over there, too, so please be sure to like it, share your BiS pictures with us, and get others involved.

As for getting others involved, we need your help here on Tumblr too! We’re going to start pushing our Tumblr Tuesday rec requests, and there’s nothing better than seeing our blog up at the top of that page for non-profits. It really makes us smile to know that our followers are doing what they can to get us up and out there!

Thank you all so much for sticking it out with us through our quiet moments and for surprising us with your generosity and resources. You are all incredible and we’re so happy you’ve chosen to Believe in us and in what we do.

Don’t stop! - the Hurricane is gathering speed! Believe in Something!

In case you missed it the first time we reblogged it!

Will talks a bit about the trailer leak on the AvA Movement.

*Note: FYTA apologizes for having reblogged the trailer here previously, we did not understand it was going to be this sort of an issue until five or so minutes after the fact when David began tweeting about it. As a matter of principle we will NOT provide links to the trailer, and we ask that if you must see it, please exercise some patience—this is The Adventure all over again and it isn’t fair to the guys to have to force-release something like a newer, official trailer earlier than they’d want to. We’ve waited so long already, what’s a little more time to get it done right and how they want it to be done?

Anyhow.

stoked someone figured out where that came from that quickly… as fans… the best thing that could happen is you guys see a leak like that and help us get it thwacked as fast as possible. there’s still so much to do with music etc that to have an unofficial cut get out this early (on youtube of all places) would completely bunk the idea of a live tour with the film or a limited theater release and thus deflate the whole deal. obviously you guys have been waiting a long time, so all i can ask is wait a little longer… trust me i know it sucks… but imagine being me and building all this stuff for the past however long, i want my imagination to get out there worse than anyone, just not my sketches .. which that was. that was a temp cut of the design of a new trailer that hopefully in a month or so we can get out to apple or something and start getting some decent buzz for this thing so we can really blow it up.

anyways thanks for the support guys and i’m stoked you guys are pumped for the flick. lets just help keep it under wraps till its ready so we can even get the non fans in on it. get poeple who maybe dont even know who angels and airwaves are, pumped about this.

sigh.. now im going to have more late sock nights, just scouring the da interwebs to make sure that temp cut doesnt keep surfacing.

[…] lol in the grand scheme of things its not the biggest deal, what sucks… is genocide in third world countries, and the fact more money is spent on fixing hair loss than solving malaria….. just to put things in perspective.. in terms of this movie… i just need to be more aware of what is where, and when. and now i have to spend a lot of time trying to keep this particular cut hidden until we can get something official out.

photography mother f’in done :)

so, its been a really long time, i know….. but damn we are finally done shooting everything for LOVE. we are officially in the “tieing up loose ends” part… Was in ADR all day yesterday with Gunner, sound design is moving along and the tracks are getting polished etc. Its been a super long haul, but we are way close.

spent the whole morning cleaning up some of the monster mess I made last weekend while shooting.

its weird to think that this movie has taken around 4 years… i was 24 or 23 when this journey began and now im almost 28. its crazy putting this much of ones self into a project, but in a way its so awesome… a lot of the art in the film is stuff i was drawing back in high school, in the backround of one of the shots in the space station theres a picture of my dog who was alive while we were shooting and now hes past…i think in the world of film making its rare to be able to have the pallete of 4 years to create something… might not of had the budget, but we definetly had the time. both the film and i were able to go through some serious evolution. i think back about it now, and decisions i would have made about things back then i dont think i would have made now and vice versa. i think thats why the film will so cool though. the story almost loosely follows a similar path, or theme, of how time changes eveything, especially perspective. its funny how true the saying is: that only time can understand how precious love is… the irony is amazing.

while the film definetly has a lot of little metaphorical messages in it, im hoping everyone is able to find them in their own way… that to me is what film making as all about. connection is everything. love is everything.

**

when will LOVE come out …. and will it be on dvd or in the movie theater?

A: not sure what the distribution plan will be yet… but i guess we will know soon. i’m hoping the guys do a tour with it, where they score the film live. but who knows, we’ll see.

I like that a lot because david had talked about that in a chat last month. he was all THERE WILL HAVE BEEN NOTHING LIKE IT and we were all like um but Star Wars did it but he was being emo and didn’t address that lol

I am beyond STOKED about all of this, I hope everyone else is, too. Thanks for the update, Will ♥

“Connection is #LOVE”

:) We at FYTA would like to extend our thanks to Wil Eubank for that fun little minispam we just subjected y’all to. We hope he doesn’t mind that we’ve linked you to his twitter on each of those posts, and that you can also follow him at http://panawill.tumblr.com/, or check up on him at http://williameubank.com/news/. We know that shooting for the film has been announced as being done, and that Tom has said the film should be completely finished some time in August. It feels SO. WEIRD. saying that. And yet so fantastically amazing at the same time.

This is going to be so awesome.

***

And now a quick message to Wil (and the rest of the film staff!):

Thank you.
